Free XML Sitemap Generator
This sitemap generator turns a list of page URLs into a valid sitemap.xml that helps search engines discover pages. Paste one URL per line, set defaults, then download the file and upload it to your site root. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Each URL becomes a url entry with location, last-modified date, change frequency and priority. Priority is relative within your own site, not a global ranking boost. Large sites must split beyond 50,000 URLs or 50MB per file and use a sitemap index.
Example
| Input | Output entry |
|---|---|
| https://example.co.za/about | <url><loc>…/about</loc>…</url> |
Frequently asked questions
Where do I put sitemap.xml?
At the site root and reference it in robots.txt, then submit it in Google Search Console.
Does a sitemap guarantee indexing?
No. It helps discovery; indexing still depends on quality, links and crawl budget.
How many URLs fit in one sitemap?
Up to 50,000 URLs or 50MB uncompressed. Beyond that, use a sitemap index file.
What should priority be?
Relative importance within your site: 1.0 for the homepage, lower for archives and legal pages.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The XML is built locally in your browser.
