Free Case Converter
This case converter changes pasted text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case or aLtErNaTiNg case in one click. It is designed for fixing headings pasted in the wrong case, normalising spreadsheet exports, and formatting titles before publishing. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
How it works
UPPERCASE and lowercase apply Unicode-aware case mapping to the whole text. Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word. Sentence case lowercases everything, then capitalises the first letter after each sentence-ending mark. Alternating case flips letter-by-letter for stylised headings, use sparingly, as it harms readability.
Example
| Mode | Output for "free online tools" |
|---|---|
| UPPERCASE | FREE ONLINE TOOLS |
| Title Case | Free Online Tools |
| Sentence case | Free online tools |
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert text to uppercase?
Paste text and press UPPERCASE, then Copy to reuse the result.
What is Title Case?
The first letter of each word is capitalised. Common for headings, though style guides differ on small words like "and" or "the".
What is Sentence case?
Only the first letter of each sentence is capitalised, like normal prose. Google and many design systems prefer it for headings.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Conversion happens locally in your browser.
Can I download the converted text?
Yes. The Download button saves the current output as a .txt file.
